Since its incorporation in 2015, the social venture and social benefit corporation Fair Anita has operated profitably while helping about 8,000 survivors of sexual and domestic abuse worldwide to rebuild their lives and strengthen their communities. Its founder Joy McBrien, herself a sexual abuse survivor, spoke to EIX about how she started her mission-driven venture, how she and her team manage it today, and the benefits it has brought to vulnerable women around the world. Joy also shared some great advice for student entrepreneurs: get all the free advice you can before you graduate and have to pay for it.
